Here is Limbaugh’s response:
"You know what the real question is, Ms. Amanpour and the rest of you who seek to co-opt Jesus Christ as simply another prop in your march toward the decline of America, the question is not what would Jesus do, the question is not what would Jesus cut, the question is what would Jesus take? That's the question you never want to answer."
A little later he continues:
"Taxes and budget cuts, what would Jesus do? Well, what would Jesus take? That's the question people need to ask to put this in perspective. Of course the answer is, nothing. You want to start equating yourselves and your policies to Jesus Christ, you better first start asking, what did Jesus take, from whom, and how did he go about it? What was his plan for redistribution?"
Well, Mr. Limbaugh, you asked about Christ’s plan for redistribution. Fortunately we don't have to speculate, because He answered the question during His sojourn in life and it’s written in Mark 10:21. When a young man asked what he could do to gain eternal life, Christ’s answer was this:
Go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

God's economy is far different than the world's economy. Jesus spoke and gave instruction about the issue of taxes specifically. And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at Him.~ Mark 12:17(NASB) I don't have worth based on the economy of this world. But, in God's economy I have tremendous value. I can sow seeds into the lives of others and know that there will be a harvest in due time. That's priceless! I can sow seeds into the fields of my enemy, even though it may leave my field bare, and it's value will be far-reaching, beyond comparison to anything that would be otherwise. Jesus was very specific to what the costs of following Him would be, and not many will chose to "take up their cross."
Wow, the Blush LimpBlah is now a reverend, he can take his place next to the other flakes like Jim Jones, Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart, (all silly jimmy’s), Ted Haggard, Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Franklin Gramham (son of Billy), John Hagee, and we can’t forget the rev. Mike Huckabee. Maybe LimpBlah next sermon will be about the scripture “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is God’s”, found in the good book. But alas we probably hear more or the same lies that we heard today. He is such a windbag.
